The listed service availability covers Germany. Availability for Austria and Switzerland is not established here. For other streaming services, see the streaming overview.

Its monthly charge during the first term is 5.98 EUR. After that term, the stated monthly price is Minimum contract term of 12 months, from the 13th month 9.98 EUR per month; cancellable monthly thereafter..

For a rough first-term budget, multiply the monthly charge by the term length: 5.98 EUR per month for Filme & Serien, 12 Monate. This calculation excludes any separately selected add-on and assumes the listed monthly price applies throughout that term.

Devices and the Premium add-on

Listed device types include Television, Laptop, Tablet, PC, Console, Smart TV and Mobile phone (no receiver needed). The service can therefore suit someone watching on a television as well as someone who prefers a computer or mobile device.

WOW Premium is an optional add-on. Its listed features include ad-free for on-demand content, 1080p (Full HD), not on mobile devices, Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2 simultaneous streams. The stated quality is not available on mobile devices. Downloads are listed for all mobile devices on the core plans.

For viewers who do not need the listed Premium features, compare the base plan offers and terms.

Broadband needs and a speed check

For Full HD with WOW Premium, the stated broadband requirement is at least 12 Mbit/s. Actual viewing also depends on the connection being used by other devices and activity in the household.

Measure your connection with the speed test and estimate household demand with the bandwidth calculator. Compare the result with the stated requirement before choosing the Premium add-on.

WOW streaming and IPTV players are different

A streaming service and an IPTV player are separate things. An IPTV player does not play Netflix or other streaming-service content; it plays a user's own playlists or Xtream access. WOW is used through its own service and supported devices.

Cancellation and timing

Cancellation timing depends on the subscription type. The annual plan can first be cancelled at the end of its minimum term; it is then cancellable monthly. Monthly subscriptions are listed as cancellable online at any time.

WOW Premium's trial can be cancelled for the end of the trial period. If you are trying the add-on, note the trial end date and allow time to manage the subscription through the service's account or subscription management area.
