Convert an existing login format, not the account itself

Some IPTV players ask for one long playlist URL. Others display separate fields for a server address, username and password. When your existing account uses a conventional get.php playlist link, these fields may already be present inside that URL. This converter separates them or builds a playlist URL from the credentials you enter. Processing happens in the browser; the tool does not contact the provider or change the account behind those details.

A converted result is not a successful login test. It does not prove that a subscription is active, that a server is reachable, or that a particular player supports every account feature. The conversion only changes how the existing information is presented. If the resulting setup fails, compare it with the original instructions and test the original access method first. Formatting the same inactive credentials another way cannot reactivate them.

Extract the three fields from an M3U URL

Select “M3U to Xtream” and paste the entire get.php link. Supported URLs use HTTP or HTTPS, end their path with get.php, and contain username and password query parameters. The optional type and output parameters are accepted too. Run the conversion, then open the result panel. The server address, username and password are shown separately so that you can transfer each value to the appropriate field in your player.

Do not paste the entire get.php URL into a field that specifically asks for the server. The converter removes the filename and query while retaining an explicit port and any preceding directory. This is useful when the service is hosted below a path rather than at the domain root. However, a provider may specify a different API endpoint in its own instructions. Those specific instructions take precedence over an address inferred mechanically from a playlist URL.

The result is placed in a collapsed panel because it contains credentials. Expand it when you are ready to use the values, especially if someone else can see your screen. This is a display precaution, not encryption or account protection against someone who controls your browser. After transferring the details, use the clear button to remove the current input and result. Be particularly careful during screen sharing or on a shared computer.

Build an M3U link from Xtream details

Choose “Xtream to M3U” for the reverse operation. Enter the server including its HTTP or HTTPS scheme, then enter the username and password in their own fields. The converter produces a get.php request using type=m3u_plus and output=ts. These are common request parameters, not a guarantee that every server accepts that combination. If your provider specifies a different output mode, use its documented settings instead of assuming that a generated default must be correct.

Special characters are encoded for use inside a URL. For example, an ampersand belonging to a password must not become the separator before another query parameter. Enter the original credential value rather than a manually encoded version copied from part of a URL. Encoding an already encoded fragment as though it were the real password can change its meaning. Whenever possible, obtain the original values from your trusted account information or setup instructions.

The server may include a port or directory, but it must not include a query string, fragment, or embedded username and password before the host. Those mixed forms are rejected because combining several authentication styles can produce an ambiguous result. Usernames and passwords are not automatically trimmed: spaces can be meaningful credential characters. Check what you copied rather than relying on the converter to guess whether whitespace was intentional.

Understand why some URLs cannot be converted

Not every playlist URL represents an Xtream login. A direct link to a static M3U file may have no username or password at all. Other systems use opaque tokens, signed links or custom proxy routes. The three login fields cannot reliably be reconstructed from those forms. This tool rejects them instead of inventing credentials from arbitrary path segments. A clear refusal is more useful than a plausible-looking result that sends you into unnecessary troubleshooting.

Additional unknown query parameters are rejected too. An unfamiliar parameter might carry a signature, device restriction or special authorisation. Silently dropping it could change the meaning of the request. Repeated parameters are also ambiguous: two password values do not tell the converter which interpretation the server uses. Keep the original link intact and consult the original instructions when the URL falls outside the supported form.

A fragment at the end of the URL is not accepted either. Fragments are handled differently from the actual request sent to a server, and their presence can indicate a copying mistake or a custom convention. Do not remove arbitrary portions until the tool accepts the input. The goal is to represent your existing account accurately, not to force every possible address into a predefined pattern. Some services simply need their own setup method.

Separate playlist, programme guide and application features

An M3U playlist describes playable entries. M3U8 often indicates a UTF-8 playlist and is also used by HLS manifests. XMLTV describes programme-guide information. An EPG URL is therefore not automatically a playlist URL, and this converter does not generate an XMLTV document. It also makes no promise about recording, catch-up, archive playback or account management. Those features depend on the service and the specific player implementation.

Many applications expose separate settings for playlists, programme guides and login accounts. Put each generated value into the field intended for it. If channels appear but programme titles do not, the playlist may already be correct while the EPG mapping is still missing. Use the XMLTV checker and the player instructions for that problem. Repeatedly converting the same login URL will not create missing programme-guide identifiers.

Troubleshoot the result in a useful order

First determine whether the original link or login still works. Expired credentials, a changed password and an unavailable server remain problems after conversion. Next compare the scheme, host, port and directory with the original information. The converter does not switch HTTP to HTTPS automatically. Changing a protocol without knowing what the service supports can introduce a new failure rather than fixing the existing one.

Then check which input mode your player actually expects. A playlist URL field normally needs the complete generated link; an Xtream form needs the separate server and credentials. Similar labels across applications can hide different requirements. Consult the relevant device guide if the interface is unclear. Account connection limits can matter too, but they cannot be determined from the characters of a URL. A second representation of the same login is still the same account.

If you need support, provide the error text, player name and an anonymised description of the address structure. Do not publish the complete URL. Replacing a password in a screenshot is helpful only if every copy of it has been removed, including any visible query string. A simple example with placeholder values usually communicates the formatting problem without disclosing the actual account. The built-in example is designed for exactly this kind of safe demonstration.

What local processing means here

The conversion code reads your fields and creates a text result. It does not fetch the playlist, call a player API, store credentials in local browser storage, or send the input to an account on this website. Normal requests are needed to load the page and its assets, but those requests are separate from the values you enter into the tool. There is no remote account checker hidden behind the convert button.

Your own handling of the result still matters. Browser extensions, screen recordings, screenshots and other applications are outside this tool's control. The clear button removes current fields and output, but cannot retract information copied elsewhere. If you only want to learn the format, use the demo before entering real credentials. It uses an example.com address and deliberately fictional account values, so it cannot accidentally sign in to a real service.

Frequently asked questions

### Can the converter recover a missing password? No. It extracts values already present in a supported URL or uses the values you supply. A password that is not there cannot be reconstructed. Obtain missing information through your existing account or the setup information supplied with it. The converter is not a password recovery service.

Does a new M3U link add another connection?

No. It does not create a new account or change connection limits. Your subscription, content access and permitted simultaneous use remain unchanged. Treat two differently formatted links containing the same credentials as two representations of one access method, not as separate entitlements.

Why are there percent signs in the result?

They are part of URL encoding, which keeps special characters inside individual parameter values from being interpreted as address syntax. This is normal in a correctly generated link. Copy the entire result rather than manually replacing encoded fragments. If the original credential itself contains a percent sign, enter that original value exactly.
