M3U Playlist Validator
Check your M3U or M3U8 playlist for format errors, duplicate channels and missing information — with line numbers and statistics, entirely in your browser.
This tool checks only the file format of a playlist (structure, syntax, duplicates and statistics) — it does not load streams, check content or recommend sources. Use it for playlists from your own legal provider.
Validate playlist
Paste the contents of your .m3u/.m3u8 file or select the file directly.
What is checked?
Structure
#EXTM3U header, #EXTINF without a corresponding URL, URL lines without a preceding #EXTINF.
URL syntax
Each stream URL is checked for valid syntax — no stream is loaded or contacted.
Duplicates
Repeated stream URLs are listed with all locations where they were found.
Statistics
Number of channels, groups (group-title), and tvg-logo and tvg-id coverage as percentages.
Sources and reproducible checks
Store ratings describe feedback from store users. The review texts we classify are a separate sample; their number is not the denominator of the rating. Neither dataset is our own device test.
- Store export generated
- Latest dated store observation in this export
- 2026-10-18
- Curated feature matrix source date
- 2026-07-23
These dates refer to different sources. A new export does not recheck the curated features. Older feature, price and availability statements need a fresh check in the official listing for your device and country.
Store screenshots are supplied by the app publishers, not captured in our own tests. Store presence alone does not establish support for every TV model, input format or playback setup. TELOS belongs to this website operator; its availability must also be checked for the exact platform.
Paste this deliberately fictional example into the validator: it reports one structurally valid entry. Remove the final URL line to reproduce the missing-URL error.
#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:-1 tvg-id="demo" group-title="Example",Example
https://example.invalid/stream.m3u8
example.invalid is a demonstration address. The validator does not fetch it and cannot prove that a stream exists, plays or is licensed.
Check one variable at a time: validate a nonprivate playlist sample, measure on the actual playback device, then compare the official device and input requirements. Record device, app version, date and the result before changing another setting.
