Hi everyone, I have an LG OLED C1 with webOS and am currently testing IPTV. LG’s standard player stutters with 4K streams and has no EPG. Which player is really stable? I have already heard of SS IPTV and OTT Navigator, but I am unsure whether they work well on webOS. My setup: 100 Mbit/s LAN, M3U list. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I have been using SS IPTV on my LG C9 for a year. It runs reliably, including with 4K. The EPG is okay, but not perfect. Important: You have to install the app through the LG Content Store. The free version contains ads, while the full version costs a one-time 5 Euro. It is ideal for M3U lists. The only downside is that there is no timeshift. But for normal viewing, it is more than sufficient.

I tested OTT Navigator on an LG NANO75, but not directly through webOS, using an Android box instead. OTT Navigator does not run natively on webOS itself. As an alternative, I recommend TiviMate, but it is not available for webOS. Stick with SS IPTV or try Smart IPTV (SIPTV), which is nearly identical but has a better EPG. Both are available in the store.

I use the “IPTV Smarters” player on my LG B9 through the Developer Mode method. It runs smoothly and supports catch-up and EPG. However, you have to sideload the APK because the app is not officially available in the store. It is somewhat inconvenient, but then you have a genuine alternative to SS IPTV. I do not experience any stuttering, even over 50 Mbit/s Wi-Fi.

I tested several players on my LG C2: SS IPTV was okay, but the ads are annoying. Smart IPTV (SIPTV) is ad-free and has a better EPG, but costs 5,49 Euro. Both support M3U. If you do not want to sideload anything, choose SIPTV. For high-bitrate 4K streams, I recommend using LAN instead of Wi-Fi, as some users here have had problems.
