Hi everyone, I have been using IPTV Smarters on my Fire TV Stick 4K for a year, but since the last update it often stutters and the EPG does not load properly. I am considering switching to GSE Smart IPTV. Has anyone tested both? I am particularly interested in stability and M3U playlist support. Does GSE run more smoothly, or am I imagining it? Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I run both on a Formuler Z8. GSE is definitely more stable with large playlists (over 5000 channels). Smarters crashes more often for me, especially when changing channels. GSE also has better EPG importing, but the interface looks dated. Smarters looks more modern, but performance matters more. I would recommend GSE for Fire TV.

I use an NVIDIA Shield TV. GSE runs perfectly smoothly, but setup is fiddly because you have to add playlists manually by URL. Smarters is more user-friendly, but I experience buffering problems more often with live TV on Smarters. If you only watch IPTV, choose GSE. Smarters is better organized for VOD and series.

I use GSE on a Xiaomi Mi Box S. One thing I noticed is that GSE supports more codecs, such as HEVC without stuttering. Smarters often had picture dropouts with 4K content for me. However, the GSE app sometimes crashed on older Android versions (5.1). Smarters is more stable there. It therefore depends on your device.

I had exactly the same problem with Smarters on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. I switched to GSE, and there have been no more crashes since then. The EPG loads immediately. The only downside is that GSE has no built-in recording function, while Smarters does. But for live TV and stability, GSE is the better choice. Just test it alongside Smarters.
