Hi everyone, I recently got a Fire TV Stick 4K Max and want to use IPTV. I’m looking for a reliable setup guide and, above all, a player that runs smoothly and supports EPG. I’ve heard of TiviMate and IPTV Smarters Pro, but I’m unsure which one is best suited to the Stick. Does anyone have experience or tips for the ideal configuration? Thanks.

I use TiviMate on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and am very happy with it. Setup is easy: install the Play Store version, then enter the M3U URL and EPG source in the settings. It’s important to use the latest version — 4.7.0 runs very smoothly. The only drawback is that the EPG update sometimes takes 2-3 minutes, but everything works great afterwards.

I tried IPTV Smarters Pro, but on the 4K Max I constantly had buffering problems, especially with 4K streams. I switched to TiviMate and it runs much more reliably. The instructions are simple: after installation, enter your login details or M3U under 'Add playlist'. Tip: Enable hardware decoding in the player to reduce CPU usage.

I use OTT Navigator on the Fire TV Stick 4K Max and find it very customisable. Setup is a little more complex because you have to sideload the APK, as it isn’t in the store. In return, it offers good EPG support and lets you manage multiple playlists. It has been running without any stuttering for months, even over 50 Mbit/s Wi-Fi.

I recommend TiviMate because it is specifically optimised for Fire TV. Setup is simple: after installation, select 'Add playlist' in the menu and enter the M3U URL. Important: under 'Settings -> Playback', set the 'ExoPlayer interface' to 'Hardware'. This prevents micro-stuttering. EPG works perfectly for me with an XMLTV URL.
