Hi everyone, I installed IPTV Smarters Pro on my Fire TV Stick and am trying to complete the setup step by step. The playlist loads, but the EPG often shows no data, and switching channels causes constant buffering. Am I using the wrong URL, or is it a settings issue? I’ve already cleared the cache, but nothing improved. Does anyone have tips for a stable configuration?

Hey StreamFan77, I know the EPG problem. It is often caused by the EPG source, as many people use an incorrect or outdated URL. Check whether your provider supplies a separate EPG URL. In my case, it helped to update the source manually under „EPG“ in the settings and restart the player. Buffering can also be caused by the bitrate. Set the buffer size in Smarters Pro to „Medium“ or „Large“.

I use IPTV Smarters Pro on an NVIDIA Shield and had similar buffering problems. The solution was to update the app to the latest version, as older versions often have bugs. Also try disabling hardware decoding in the settings. That improved stability for me. EPG data sometimes takes up to 24 hours to load completely, so be patient. If you use a VPN, it can also slow things down.

On my Fire TV Stick 4K, it helped to move the IPTV Smarters Pro app from the internal storage to the SD card. There was less buffering. I also had EPG problems, so I added an external EPG source from GitHub, which is more reliable. Make sure your playlist is in M3U format with correct line breaks. Sometimes the provider’s files are faulty.

I set it up on a Samsung Smart TV (Tizen). The first step was to download the app from the Samsung App Store, not from third-party sources. The EPG only worked after I enabled „Update EPG on startup“ in the settings. I reduced buffering by switching to a wired LAN connection instead of Wi-Fi. Your Stick may be overloaded, so close other apps.
